As we become older, do we leave certain things behind? Things that we use to do. Places that we use to go. Words that we use to say.

Fear of living
Some people aren’t afraid to die, they’re afraid to live.

Michael’s irony
What Michael Jackson wanted, he’s getting while he’s dead. Respect. Love. Why now? Why not when he was alive? Why not when he could’ve hear what they are saying?

RAW backwards
“Do we give life to our children for our own benefit?”
from the short story War by Luigi Pirandello
So much can be taken from that one sentence taken from the above mentioned short story. A story that dealt about parents sending of their children of to war, hoping that they might live and return back to them. For some, their sons did not make it; they died. They did not have a choice because they had to send them, and some not happy about it.
Do we do things because we have to and must, or because we have a choice?

Smiling at what?
I lay in bed yesterday with thoughts of the things that I’m going through racing through my mind, and what did I do? I smiled. Why? Because I knew that within myself I was not giving up. Ever felt that way?
The world seems like one big tiring place, at times, but there is more to this life than just troubles and the feeling of hopelessness. When you get up in the morning, smile. Think of things that make you happy. Things that brings joy to your heart, and always remember that no matter what, you are never alone.

Who are you?
If someone was to ask you to describe yourself, what will you say? And if others describe you, will you accept their description?
I came across this quote from Wentworth Miller and I thought it was interesting. “My experience is that I find myself having to constantly define myself to others, day-in and day-out. The quote that’s helped me the most through this is from Toni Morrison’s Beloved where she says, ‘Definitions belong to the definers, not the defined.’ So I find myself defining myself for other people lest I be defined by others and stuck into some box where I don’t particularly belong.”
Who are you? Who am I? And should we care how others define us or want and expect us to be?

bungee!!
This is something that I want to do, well one of the things.
Is there anything that you want to do? Some thing that you’ve always dreamed about doing? I’m not talking about things that are crimes.

Did you hear . . .
How many times have rumors or gossip started like that? Not based on truth, but it flies out the mouths of people for whatever reason they want. What do you do? Hideaway? Defend yourself.? Walk around in shame knowing that you have nothing to be ashamed about?
Right now I can’t remember the song’s name, but Wang Leehom has a song that talks about this. I saw the video a few months ago, and I loved it. When I do remember, I’ll return to edit this entry.
“Madam, this world would be a joyless place
If, fearing what malicious tongues might say,
We locked our doors and turned our friends away.
And even if one did so dreary a thing,
D’you think those tongues would cease their chattering?
“One can’t fight slander; it’s a losing battle;
Let us instead ignore their tittle-tattle.
Let’s strive to live by conscience’ clear decrees,
And let the gossips gossip as they please.”
Cleante from the play Tartuffe by Moliere(jean-Baptiste Poquelin)

Power of thoughts
“When the power of thoughts meets the power of action, a result is born.”
